Al Khail Metro Station Guide | Dubai Hills & Al Quoz Connectivity

Al Khail Metro Station, formerly known as Nakheel Metro Station and recently as Al Fardan Exchange, is a major pillar of Dubai's 20-Minute City Vision on the Red Line. As of the 2026 Update, the station has been optimized to handle the Expansion Frontier growth, serving as a gateway to Dubai Hills Mall, the Al Quoz industrial areas, and the American University of Dubai. Located between interchanges 4 and 5 of Sheikh Zayed Road, it integrates the RTA 2026 Master Plan landmarks with sustainable urban mobility solutions.

Sheikh Zayed Road runs parallel to the eastern side of the station. The design allows for three tracks, with the middle track used for storing trains when needed. Additionally, there is an elevated concourse level with pedestrian walkways on either side of the road. It is interesting to note that Al Khail is the only station on the Red Line where trains depart and arrive from the left.
