    Stay connected while you commute. Learn how to access high-speed free WiFi on the metro, tram, and major bus stations across the UAE.

    Reliable internet is essential for modern travellers. For 2026, the RTA has partnered with leading telecom providers like Etisalat by e& and du to provide seamless WiFi coverage not just on trains, but across 43 transport hubs including bus and marine stations.

    How to Connect (Metro & Tram)??

    Enable WiFi

    Turn on WiFi on your device and look for the network named "UAE WiFi by Etisalat" or "du WiFi".

    Register

    A login page will automatically appear. Enter your UAE Mobile Number or register with your email if you are a tourist.

    Enter OTP

    You will receive a One-Time Password (OTP) via SMS. Enter the code and click "Connect".

    Coverage Area 2026?

    The WiFi service is no longer limited to high-speed trains. Coverage has expanded significantly:

    Metro Lines

    Full coverage on both Red and Green line trains and all underground/elevated stations.

    Bus Stations

    Available at 21 major public bus stations across Dubai as of Jan 2026.

    Marine Hubs

    22 Marine transport stations now offer free WiFi while waiting for Abras or Ferries.

    Dubai Tram

    Continuous seamless connectivity throughout the 10.6km tram loop.

    Speed & Security

    Standard speed is approximately 2-5 Mbps (Free Tier).

    Enhanced speed is available for Etisalat/du contract subscribers.

    Use a VPN if accessing sensitive banking data on public networks.

    WiFi FAQ for 2026

    What if I don\'t have a UAE SIM card?

    Tourists can connect by providing their email address and passport number. However, some hubs may still require a roaming mobile number to receive the OTP.

    Is the WiFi unlimited?

    For most users, there is a daily time limit of 60-120 minutes or a data cap of 500MB on the free tier.
